Ms. Steinhaus joined Shook & Stone in 2010 as a Social Security Disability Associate. Since 2010, she has represented over 1,000 clients before the Social Security Administration for both Title II and Title XVI benefits. She has represented these clients at hearings throughout the southwest.
Early Experience & Volunteer Work
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Steinhaus practiced law in Chicago, Illinois, with a focus on personal injury and domestic relations. While in Chicago, Ms. Steinhaus exhibited a strong commitment to her community by volunteering at the C.A.R.P.L.S. Clinic and providing free advice about landlord-tenant issues and domestic relations matters.
She also volunteered as a judge for various moot court competitions held throughout the region. Since relocating to Las Vegas, Ms. Steinhaus has volunteered with the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition and continues to participate in fundraisers across the valley.
Education
Ms. Steinhaus boasts an impressive education, having received academic scholarships for both her undergraduate and law school education. Ms. Steinhaus received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Business Economics with a minor in Finance from the University of Louisville in 2003.
She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2006. While at Chicago-Kent, Ms. Steinhaus was an active member in the Moot Court Honor Society, competing in competitions throughout the U.S.
Ms. Steinhaus is licensed to practice in Illinois, California and Nevada.
